Created on: Aug 10, 2008 10:00 PM by Julia Barnard - Last Modified:  Jul 16, 2009 8:50 PM by Julia Barnard

Happy Mails have been updated. New components have been added, and you can now choose to receive them as one complete set, rather than wait to receive them each week via email.

Happy Mails have been designed to inject some happiness into your life, as you reflect on yourself and the world around you. They are a means of engaging your thoughts, feelings and actions, so you can develop an
optimistic outlook on your life. Hopefully you will come to appreciate the value of now and get excited about the future.

By subscribing to this service, each week for 20 weeks you will receive a Happy Mail in your email inbox that you should print out and complete throughout the week. Else you can download them as a complete set. Happy Mails are available for just $20 AUD. Have a look at the sample Happy Mail.

The principles behind Happy Mails

Happy Mails are an opportunity to pause from your day giving you the chance to unwind, reflect on and feel good about yourself and your life. So much focus in life is on the negative and dreary. Life is not easy. This is an attempt to redress that imbalance, providing you with tips and ideas to boost wellbeing and relieve stress.

Reflecting on the good things in your life will hopefully give you a sense of hope, optimism and an appreciation of your life. Furthermore, Happy Mails may offer you an opportunity to develop your strengths. Much positive psychology research is quickly concluding such strengths are important to happiness, emotional wellbeing and health.

In each Happy Mail you will have suggested things to do, relaxation ideas and wellbeing tips all intended to boost your happiness. You also have a chance to reflect on your favourites, think about a weekly goal and brainstorm some of the joyful elements of your life. You also have an opportunity to do a drawing each week. This is your chance to get creative, without needing to attend an art class.
